Mark Yelland-Brown

Lead Tutor

I have been involved in teaching since 2001, with experience working as a full-time English teacher in comprehensive schools, as well as serving as a supply teacher across infant, primary, and secondary education levels.

Over the years, I have worked within Pupil Referral Units and the Hospital and Home Tuition Unit for Barnet Education. I have also taught children with special educational needs, with a particular focus on supporting pupils with Autism.

In addition to classroom teaching, I have regularly provided one-to-one private tutoring both independently and within school environments. Through this experience, I have developed the ability to quickly build strong rapport with students while identifying their individual educational needs and learning styles.

I believe one-to-one tutoring is where my teaching abilities are best demonstrated, as it allows me to provide focused, personalized support that helps students grow in confidence and achieve their academic goals.

Technical & Digital Operations

Responsible for the technical operations behind Your Best English Tutor, including website management, digital systems, and online support services.

With experience in Software Engineering and Cybersecurity, he works to ensure students and parents have a smooth, reliable, and modern learning experience both online and offline.
